Quick Start Guide
1. Download & Installation
Step 1: Download the Vault
After purchasing a Corner Vault, you’ll receive a download link via email or your account on cornervaults.com.
Click the link to download the vault to your computer. The file will typically be in .zip format.
Step 2: Extract the Vault
Locate the downloaded .zip file in your Downloads folder.
Right-click the file and choose Extract All (Windows) or Open with > Archive Utility (macOS) to unzip the contents.
You should now have a folder containing the vault files.
Step 3: Import the Vault into Obsidian
Open Obsidian. If you don’t already have it installed, download Obsidian here.
On the Obsidian home screen, select “Open folder as vault.”
Navigate to the unzipped vault folder and select it. The vault will now open in Obsidian!
Step 4: Customize Your Setup
If the vault uses community plugins, you may see a prompt to install or enable them. Follow the prompts to activate these plugins for the best experience.
Explore the pre-configured templates, tags, and folders to familiarize yourself with the vault structure.
Ensure Obsidian is Up to Date
Check that you’re running the latest version of Obsidian. Older versions may have compatibility issues with newer vault formats.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If you can’t locate the vault folder, double-check that the .zip file was extracted properly.
If Obsidian doesn’t recognize the folder, make sure it contains .md files (Markdown files).
